Conscience, Samantha Power

In your notebook, under the title Conscience, respond to the following: Is our search for conscience based on what is expected of us by society or our inner morals/values?  In other words, does having a conscience develop from outside forces or from within?  Are we born with a conscience or is one created from time and experience?
